Leadership and Staff

Jesus is the Good Shepherd (John 10:11, 14). The pattern of the early church is the selection of shepherds to work under the leadership of Jesus. The Bible also uses the terms "Elders" and "Overseers" interchangeably with "Shepherds." The pattern is a plurality of Elders/Shepherds/Overseers in order to share leadership in working under Jesus. The early church also selected deacons and evangelists for leading specific areas of service/ministry. Those who serve in the roles of elder, deacon, or evangelist have been carefully and prayerfully selected according to biblical criteria.
